As the temperatures drop, Georges Mediterranean is ready to warm you up. With seasonal dishes, fresh cocktails, and a front-row seat to Darling Harbour’s winter festivities, this is the perfect time to cosy up with us.

Winterfest Returns to Darling Harbour

From 28th June to 20th July, Darling Harbour is transformed into a winter wonderland. The much-loved open-air ice rink at Palm Grove invites you to skate beneath the city lights, open daily from 10am to 9pm. Whether you’re planning a daytime family outing or an evening date, the festivities continue just moments away at Georges.

To mark the occasion, we’ve curated a limited time menu of specials sure to warm you up this winter. One of the highlights is our take on veggie moussaka: a thick slice of eggplant, crumbed and fried until golden, topped with our house-made tomato sauce and finished with a generous layer of torched béchamel. Almost a cousin to the classic parmigiana, but with a Greek twist. This dish is all texture, flavour and warmth. (Don’t worry though, our signature beef short-rib moussaka isn’t leaving the menu anytime soon.)

For those craving something heartier, try our new braised beef with orzo. Slow-cooked in decadent beef stock and rich with savoury depth, this dish pairs beautifully with a full-bodied red and a seat by the heater. It’s the ultimate winter indulgence.

These dishes are only here for a short time, don’t miss out. Book now.

NAIDOC Week

5th to 12th July, Australia celebrates NAIDOC Week. A time to recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” celebrates the rising voices of young leaders while honouring those who have paved the way.

Just a short walk from Georges, Cockle Bay Green will host cultural performances on Saturday 7 and 12 July. Witness a traditional Smoking Ceremony, Welcome to Country, and vibrant dance performances starting from 7pm.

Across the water, the Australian National Maritime Museum will host a NAIDOC Open Day on 6 July, offering family-friendly activities including face painting, storytelling, and dance workshops. It’s an enriching day out for all ages – and just a few minutes from your table at Georges.

Winter Park Beats

This 18th-21st July at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, you can dance the night away under twinkling lights. This free event features special performances designed for all ages. From family-friendly acts like Poppy Galactic and the Beat to high-energy shows, this is your chance to create magical winter memories.

Georges is just 7-minutes from the heart of the party, so join us for some authentic Greek hospitality which is guaranteed to warm you up after the show. (Or give you much needed energy to dance the night away)

Darling Harbour Fireworks Continue!

Every evening in July, the skies above Darling Harbour come alive with fireworks. After a short pause for Vivid, this beloved display has returned: brighter and more magical than ever. Winter may be here, but there’s no excuse to stay inside. Georges, located at King Street Wharf, offers a stunning waterfront view just a short stroll from the show. Whether you’re dining, sipping cocktails, or sharing dessert, it’s the perfect place to take in the spectacle.

It may not be December, but it sure feels like Christmas this July. And to celebrate like those in the Northern Hemisphere, come and experience the very best of Georges. From limited time specials, to a front row seat to the fireworks, and killer cocktail menu, Georges has something to satisfy every taste this winter season.

See you then,

Yamas!
